New Delhi/Guwahati 29 March 2024:  Indian Journalists Union (IJU) has expressed serious concern at the series off attack on media persons in different parts of the country. The union condemns attacks on journalists in Delhi during a Aam Admi Party (AAP) protest rally by Delhi police, wherein one journalist suffered fractures in his hand and the others were injured. 

In a statement, IJU President and former member of Press Council of India Geetartha Pathak and IJU Secretary General and Vice President of International Federation of Journalists Sabina Inderjit said attack on an ANI journalist was unwarranted. The IJU demands inquiry into the incidents of attacks on journalists across the country and ensure safety and security of journalists in the country. shall make every endeavor to support their cause.
