Agartala, 24 December 2020: The Photo-journalist Association affiliated to Tripura Journalist Union led a silent protest against the incidents of violence against the photo journalists in the State.

The one-hour demonstration was held in front of the Agartala Press Club from 12.30 pm. The TJU and the Association demanded urgent arrest of the attackers and urged the State Government to provide security against such violence against the photo journalists.

TJU Secretary, Indian Journalists Union National Secretary and Agartala Press Club Secretary Pranab Sarkar, FDPMC Secretary Sebak Bhattacharjee and Vice President of Tripura Journalist Association Alok Ghosh were among the various leaders and photo journalists who joined the protest.
