10 September 2022: In its efforts to strengthen the trade union movement, the Indian Journalists Union has been conducting various activities with six State affiliates under the IFJ and Union to Union's project for 2022. 

The State union’s engaged in the project titled ‘Strengthening Unions: Engaging young journalists towards digitalisation’are: Odisha Journalists Union, Eastern Himalayan Journalists Union, TamilNadu All Media Journalists Union, JK Media Guild, ShramjeeviPatrakar Union Uttar Pradesh, Andaman &Nicobar Media Federation.

The project’s thrust is on engaging young and digital journalists as well as women journalists in unions, thereby raising their strength. The activities being undertaken are: research through surveys and interviews, communication and advocacy, webinars and offline meetings.
